Comment se fait-il que le Centre de lecture rapide CLR soit toujours en activité depuis 1969? Cela s’explique par le fait qu’il comble un manque réel auprès de la clientèle étudiante des niveaux secondaire, collégial et universitaire. Si le ministère de l’Éducation avait accepté dans le passé de prendre la relève du CLR en intégrant dans ses programmes, entre autres, la lecture rapide stratégique et la prise de notes rapide, celui-ci n’aurait plus sa raison d’être. Or, comme cela ne s’est pas produit, le CLR est fier de poursuivre l’enseignement de cours et d’ateliers indispensables, sans équivalent dans le système scolaire actuel.

Lecture rapide stratégique^MD

Trois choix de cours vous sont offerts au CLR selon vos aptitudes intellectuelles, votre degré de scolarité, votre capacité de concentration et de synthèse, et selon la profondeur de votre culture générale : cours régulier (30 h), cours intermédiaire (21 h) et cours avancé (14 h).
Lors de la formation, des outils sont utilisés pour détecter vos difficultés au niveau de la vision et de la prise de notes. Nous vous suggérerons alors de poursuivre votre perfectionnement en suivant les ateliers sur la prise de notes rapide et sur la gymnastique oculaire intégrale.

Prise de notes rapide (12 h)

Cet atelier, créé et présenté par Chantal Pelletier, aura lieu du 7 au 28 octobre. Il vous permet de prendre par écrit le maximum d’idées en un minimum de temps dans le but de les recréer par simple relecture de vos notes. La prise de notes est une des activités intellectuelles les plus complexes. En effet, il faut à la fois comprendre (analyse, synhèse), analyser (structurer) et enfin écrire (sélection) ce qu’on entend. L’atelier touche à ces trois aspects : cognitif, logique et mécanique. La mécanique s’appuie sur trois outils : les symboles, les abréviations
et expressions usuelles ainsi que les raccourcis phonétique.

Gymnastique oculaire intégrale (13 h)

Cet atelier, qui sera présenté les 25 et 26 octobre, est le fruit de 48 ans d’expérience de l’optométriste GuY S. Duchemin dans le domaine de la rééducation visuelle. Il est composé d’exercices oculaires, de mouvements corporels spécifiques, de visualisations, d’imagerie mentale, de stimulation des méridiens d’énergie, de reprogrammation des pensées et croyances relatives à la vision. De plus, cette méthode améliore la posture, favorise l’attention et la concentration de même qu’elle accroît l’efficacité dans les activités visuelles rapprochées telles que la lecture et l’écriture.
